And her necklace! I love her necklace, and her design in general. She looks cool even with a skull for a head. xD

I really like the change from full corpse body to just a skull-face. It gives her something 'different'.

BTW, that's Ts'ats'ee's island that Lacey is being brought to. XD

Her type of faerie is cursed so that if they ever come to love somebody (romantic, friendship, family) that person sees through their mask and sees them for what they really look like, and their corpse faces. It's very rare that they find love due to it. It's extra sad because they are actually a type of love/beauty faerie who were cursed by the Creator ages ago for their vanity to become hideous, so they still pine for love/companionship it's the main thing that drives them.

They basically have more ownership traditions then European people do. Things like songs, stories, dances, names, etc are all considered owned. So if a Tlingit person tells you a story told down his family you can't tell it to somebody else without permission because you don't own it. Same with names, there won't be two of the same name because it's owned. It's like, if we had the same ownership rules in European culture somebody named Jake Smith would be the only Jake Smith. If another Smith family had a child, they couldn't name him Jake Smith because that name was already owned.

I'm pretty sure that's how it worked, that's what I gleaned from reading a few sites on Tlingit culture.

Actually so are Mercy and Noc. They're both fairly young and would rather make friends than cause pain. Noc looks like she's maybe ten and doesn't look like anything that could possibly induce nightmares. Both are really sweet little girls.
